Message from Alan Lauba, Director
Congrats! Karina Schwartznau J3
Olympics 3rd place overall. 4th SL, 8th SG, 13th GS. Mackenzie Bachmeier 14th GS.
Our CMAC and PNSA skiers had some tough competition with the super strong
far west division at the J3 Olympics, but still managed some podium
finishes and some great scores! Karina showed that with hard work,
perseverance, and mental toughness, success is possible at the championship
level. Many CMAC skiers had some good scores, and some tough times, but
everyone tried their best and had a huge learning experience.
Our J1/2's down in California are getting some good lesson from the
international college racers. These races are tough, but are also the best
time to look at the examples, take note, and strive to learn. Believe me,
in time you will improve, just keep giving your best effort!
This week Mission is hosting the J3 Finals, and then the week later is the
NW Cup Finals at Bachelor, both events are open to all J1/2/3's. If you are
home this weekend, Bill and Steve will have training for all racers skiing
at Crystal.
Note:
The J3 Finals will have an optional training day on Thursday. Sign up is
attached. If you plan to go, let me know. I (Alan) will go and video
training if we have racers in attendance.
This weeks Schedule:
Wed/Thu - No more summit training due to low snow conditions, and closure
for night skiing.
Thu - Optional SG training at Mission Ridge- See attachment - Inspection 12
Noon.
Friday-
Email me if you will be skiing at Crystal, Bill can be available if we have
