“SETTING THE EDGE” FUN-RAISER PARTY

What a fun event and great start to the season!  On Friday evening, October 7, 2016, CMAC held its very first “Setting the Edge” Fun-Raiser Party with many of the CMAC parents, friends, alumni and sponsors attending. Thank you to our Director of Advancement, Laura Derwin and a host of volunteers for organizing this!  Here's the office report from the event:

CMAC's Fun-Raiser Event was a Huge Success!

CMAC’s mission is "To be the Northwest’s premier ski racing program, developing athlete skills and character for life.”  Our mission received a huge boost at October’s “Setting the Edge” Fun-Raiser.  Thanks to the spectacular generosity of attendees, donors, the CMAC community, and a crew of fabulous volunteers, your club netted over $60,000!

These funds will be utilized as part of CMAC’s “Fund For Excellence”.  This fund, separate from tuition, allows the board and coaches to make major improvements to our program and maximize the potential of each participant.  We will improve our coaching with modern video feedback and mental training.  We will (with the help of Crystal Mt.) pursue ideal training surfaces with snowmaking and grooming.  We will (again, with the help of Crystal Mt.) provide new facilities such as a race lodge.  We will do more to make sure that ski racing is fun for every racer and for every CMAC family.

For those in attendance, and for those who weren’t, remember that your monetary donations are tax deductible, and in some cases, your employer may match funds dollar for dollar.  If your employer matches volunteer time, donations, etc., now is the time to submit those hours and funds for matching prior to the end of the year.

Thanks again.  Our club has a fabulous sense of community and it was a blast being there.

And a few special thank-yous:

If you missed out on the evening, or if you were in attendance and got to experience the evening first hand, a fun night was no less had by all!  The evening started with a festive Happy Hour accompanied by Live Music, a Silent Auction and then moved on to Dinner, The Live Auction, a rising speech by Jilyne Higgins and a spirited “Dessert Dash”.

Thank you to all for being a part of CMAC’s very first “Setting the Edge” Fun-Raiser.

Sincerely,
The Setting the Edge Fun-Raiser & Auction Team
