Beginning March 5th for three consecutive Saturdays, Kelly McCann and Steve Maynard will be offering a PILOT J5 extended MM program. The program will consist of directed free skiing to develop the skier /racer skill set using the entire mountain. The program is designed for those racers that want more than just the Sunday program.

CMAC is conducting this pilot to better understand the interests and capabilities of both racers and coaching staff (i.e. are two consecutive days of training too much for this age group among other factors.)
This pilot is not designed to be a free skiing day, but rather a structured training day. If the pilot is well received by racer, parent, and coach alike the CMAC Board will consider whether to offer two different J5 programs next season. Choices the Board may consider offering next season would be:
- FT Sat/Sun J5 program
- Sunday only J5 program
In order to maintain the appropriate racer/coach ratio, there will be a maximum of 20 racer spots for the pilot. Priority will be given to 2nd year J5 racers and those racers who have expressed serious interest, desire and motivation to train two consecutive days on the weekend.
The dates of the training will be:
- March 5
- March 12
- March 19
Racers will meet coaches at the CMAC shack like a regular Sunday training day.
The cost of the pilot is $125.00. Payment must be received by CMAC on or before March 5th.
If your racer is interested in participating in the pilot and wishes to be considered in accordance to the guidelines set above, please forward your name to Kelly McCann, no later than February 18th. Names received after February 18th, regardless of whether your racer is a second year J5, will be considered according to available spots.
Parents will receive a confirmation from Kelly by March 1st if your racer has been considered for the pilot.
